A bit about me…
I am a proud Tasmanian, die-hard sports fan and passionate meditation teacher.
After experiencing the profound benefits of meditation, which helped me through a very difficult stage of life, I’ve been motivated to help others live a more fulfilling and stress-free life by teaching them to incorporate meditation into their daily routines.
I grew up with my family near the ocean, with my dog Chad and a close knit group of mates (who still kick around together after all these years). Growing up in Tassie has given me an instinctive love for the outdoors. Although I now call Melbourne home, I love to get away on the weekend for some adventure, ocean breeze and a little R&R.
When I’m not meditating, teaching meditation or soaking up a bit of nature, you’re likely to find me passionately supporting the mighty Bombers, the Australian Cricket team, attempting to be a film buff or following the NBA. I also work as a Project Manager in the education industry.
My meditation journey
Meditation has played a pivotal role in my life. I began practising at a time when I was overwhelmed with stress and anxiety, with no sense of self-awareness.
The job I had in the construction industry was high stakes with high stress, and the constant demands took a high toll on me. In hindsight, I can see that my mind and body were depleted and I was nearly at breaking point.
A friend suggested that I try meditation. At first I was hesitant and honestly a bit intimidated. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a go. Very quickly, meditation was demystified and I was all-in.
Over time, meditation has helped me feel less stressed, more calm, live life with more intention and purpose and deepen my relationships with others. It has given me perspective on what I truly value in life as well as giving me the courage to undergo a massive career change.
As I continued to experience the tangible benefits of meditation every day, I was motivated to show others all the wonderful effects meditation can have on a person. As a busy working professional living in the city, juggling work and personal commitments, I wanted to show people how simple it can be to incorporate meditation into your daily routine.
Now, as a certified meditation teacher, my goal is to show others how accessible meditation is and how real and profound the benefits can be on all aspects of your life.
